![]() ![]() Like someone else said our membership is about $389 per year and if you don't want to travel that year you don't have to pay anything. For the last few years we've also attended the Coke Zero 400 around July 4th and we'll be at the Daytona Beach Resort, overloooking the pool, oceanfront for the week, $96. So for Daytona week I make the request 1 second after I'm able to and I've always gotten the request filled. I don't know if everyone can do this but we can book 13 months in advance. You do have to book way in advance because space is limited. Since February 1995 we've been able to attend the Daytona 500 using Global at an oceanfront resort for $96/wk. Yes you do have to be flexible with the resorts because the available inventory changes. We own 6 stars so we can vacation 3 prime time weeks in a 1 bedroom. We've stayed three times in Vegas with Global, at first at The Carriage House, last October at Wyndham's Grand Desert Resort and last month at The Jockey Club. The person going to Vegas later in the year should be very happy. We have been GDV members since 1994 and so far have been on 20 vacations. We're going to be booking to go to Mexico next year and I can't wait!! Edited: 13 years ago My vacation to Vegas was booked using 2 stars and I can't wait to go!! If you go on at least 3 vacations, you'll have made your money back. I was offered such a great deal for either 1 or 2 stars. I contacted sales (and received a call and email a few days later). I thought I'd price out another star upgrade. I only had 1 star and was going to be going during peak season. We decided to apply our star to our November vacation to Vegas. We didn't get a resort but I knew our chances were slim. I tried to book for June to go to Anaheim, but since it was peak season the 60 days advance did not apply'- they needed 120 days. We decided to go for it since we had vacations planned for the year that we could save on by using our star. When we told them no thank they offered us a trial membership for 3 years which included 1 star and a very small monthly fee and upfront fee. I wanted to buy into it but my husband did not. ![]() ![]() I thought at least we'd get a Visa card out of it (as we had no other plans for the night). Just got back from Argentina with Trip Advisors help. ![]() I hope you have help in booking your trips with some other TRIP ADVISOR members. I want this to work but some of it sounds to good to be true. I want to look into II and RCI know to find the relationship.Īlso the Hotel card they offer did you get one? What was the name of it I wanted to contact the hotels and ask them how it works. I have read many posts and there are more negatives than positives. He said I just Googled them and it doesnt look good. and American express said they didn't know anything about that. They offer and Consierge book from the Black American Express Card. We opted not to have any surprises or freebees and what was the bottom line with an all star program. Which after the gift thing it is difficult to get back on the trust ground with them. We actually want to believe in a program like this and sell our time share and sign up. Which made most the people in our group angry. They are not responsible for the people that promised the gifts to get a comission to get us there thing. ![]()
